1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how [Company Legal Entity] (“Lacey,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and shares information when you use the Lacey service at lacey-ai.com. It is written to be understood; where terms like “controller” or “personal data” apply under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, we use them in their legal sense.
2. Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and authentication details when you sign up (including via Google, if you choose that option).
- Brand inputs — the website URLs, screenshots and related materials you submit so Lacey can analyze your brand and compose videos.
- Billing information — plan and transaction records. Card details are collected and stored by our payment processor, not by us.
- Usage and device data — logs, approximate location, browser and device information, and product-analytics events, collected to run, secure and improve the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used for sign-in sessions and analytics, as described in Section 8.
3. How we use information
- to provide the Service — analyzing your brand inputs and composing, previewing and exporting your videos;
- to operate accounts, process payments and manage credits;
- to secure the Service, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms;
- to improve and develop features and measure how the Service is used;
- to communicate with you about your account, transactions and updates.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it with service providers (“subprocessors”) who process it on our behalf under contract, including for:
- cloud hosting, storage and database infrastructure;
- payment processing;
- AI model processing used to analyze brands and compose videos;
- transactional email delivery;
- product analytics.
We may also disclose information to comply with law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. A current list of subprocessors is available on request at privacy@lacey-ai.com.
5. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, then for the period required to meet legal, accounting or security obligations. You can request deletion as described below.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@lacey-ai.com. You may also close your account at any time.
7. Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and analytics
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and use analytics to understand product usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the Service works.
9. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Children
The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under [16]. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we will provide reasonable notice. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
